District Heating Systems

Centralised heating systems (also known as district heating schemes) have long been common in mainland Europe to heat residential developments. Carbon-emission reduction, greater efficiencies and the use of combined heat and power plants are now increasing the number of such schemes in the UK. The value of Hevasure’s continuous monitoring has been very successfully proven during an extensive 9-month trial in Zwolle, the Netherlands. A healthy system is much less prone to failure but, equally importantly, the high efficiencies demanded of district heating schemes can be achieved throughout the lifetime of the system.
